As kids, we are our most imaginative and we always have blind faith; whereas as adults, we think a bit more logically and tend to psych ourselves out.  When you’re young, you’re asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?”. The answer for most is doctor, lawyer, cop, firefighter, etc.; only a portion of those actually go on to become those things. Many let fear win, many see schooling as a challenge, or even the finances being hard to achieve.

A quote I live my life by is, “ You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi said this and it has stuck beside me for many years. When you have big dreams, you have greater risk; equally you have a greater reward for said risks. Without risk there is no reward, all people should set out to be their greatest self; this necessarily doesn’t always have to be a personal thing, but you should be your best and want to reach for the stars in a professional aspect as well. 0.25% of people in the world are doctors; just imagine how many kids said they wanted to be doctors versus how many actually went on to achieve the goal!

Dreaming big starts somewhere and you may not always be able to achieve those dreams without a little help; whether it be with support from loved ones, financing, or even enlisting the help of a business to work with you in achieving your wildest dreams. Something that is so huge in the world and forever changing is the internet and social media, everything is easily accessible because everything is at the tip of your fingers. Some people say that if you want something bad enough you could almost taste it. That is an extreme hyperbole, but the point being that when you want something bad enough you can feel it and you believe in it. I guess that brings back some of your childhood blind faith.

In business and your personal life, self-confidence is a prerequisite for taking any massive actions. You need to believe in yourself – in your abilities, skills and passions – to take the leap into entrepreneurship or any other aspiration. Believing in yourself is the linchpin of exceptional leadership, because self-confidence lets you manage and inspire others with assurance and direction. With enough perseverance, anything is possible. What are you waiting for? Get out there and achieve your wildest dreams!
